Welcome Mt. View Mustangs to the 2019-20 school year.

I am looking forward to being the principal at Mt. View. Since I am new to Mt. View Elementary I would like to share a little about myself.

I was born and raised in Puyallup. I attended Fruitland, Kalles and graduated from Rogers High School. I am married and have two children that are married, and I have three grandchildren. Families are a blessing and I am grateful for mine. This will be my thirtieth year in education and my twenty-eighth year in the Puyallup School District. Twenty of these years has been in administration, where I have served as principal at Waller Road, Shaw Road and Carson Elementary Schools. The last three years I was the director of educational planning, where I was a “principal on special assignment” and have been working on our new bond schools that will be opening up this September.

Priorities to me will be providing outstanding instruction to all our students at Mt. View, as well as provide them the best learning environment we can. I have already begun to work with the staff and will continue this during the month of August. Know  that our working with parents for each child’s success is critical. Please know that each child at Mt. View is accepted and valued by us. “Kindness Matters” has been a focus in the past at Mt. View and will continue to be as we begin a new year.

Come join us at our open house on September 3 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. You can meet your child's teacher and see their classroom.

Looking forward to a fantastic school year.
